Mindfulness Groups

I offer groups that capitalize on the power of shared experience while integrating the principles of mindfulness, the practice of yoga, and the techniques of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) to help individuals manage the symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Mindfulness and Yoga for Anxiety & Depression: This is an 8-week group for adults struggling with anxiety and/or depression. Each week, participants come together to learn to alter their relationship with their thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations that contribute to depression and anxiety and often lead to relapse. The first 60 minutes each week is spent learning more about anxiety and depression, engaging in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) psycho-education, and practicing mindfulness techniques. The last 30 minutes of each class is spent doing a mindful yoga practice, which emphasizes gentle postures and breath work to strengthen the mind-body connection. Mindful Families: This is a 6-week program for families of children (8-13years) struggling with anxiety and/or depression. Stress, anxiety and depression are becoming more prevalent concerns for our young people. This fun program helps you to connect with your child, while learning mindfulness tools and healthier thought patterns together in order to manage distressing symptoms and live a more peaceful life. Please contact us to enquire about availability or for further information.
